Go!

As I prepare to squeeze the last few drops of relaxation from the end of the summer I wanted to make sure our messaging for the start of term is clear for all parents.

Personalised information has been emailed to the address that we hold for you. If you have not received it (and it is not in junk!) then please subscribe to our mailing list. I aim to keep parents updated fortnightly on the goings on at the school.

Each Year group has separate arrangements for the start of term so please check the times on our events page carefully. Broadly this consists of picking up timetables, photographs, sharing expectations and problem solving. There are a lot of moving parts at this time of year so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you feel something isn’t right.

Following induction days, lessons commence on Tuesday 7th September with students in for a 9:15 start.

As we learn to live with COVID we will continue to put appropriate measures in place to keep everyone safe. As part of our induction days we will be asking all students to take two orient gene lateral flow tests, 3-5 days apart. These only require a nasal swab and have a greater sensitivity than previous lateral flow tests. All testing will take place on site.

Masks remain optional for both staff and students at this time. We continue to keep the building well ventilated and encourage good personal hygiene through additional hand washing. Should cases rise we will look to reintroduce proportionate control measures, such as Year bubbles and distancing. Note that in line with current guidance, students will not routinely be sent home as a result of being in ‘close contact’ with COVID.

We will keep you updated with measures that are in place as well as other pertinent information throughout the term.

Enjoy the end to the summer.
