The power of Yes

At the end of the second and final week of mock exams I wanted to express my thanks to the students for the incredible attitude they have shown in approaching this challenge. It is clear that a tremendous amount of hard work and effort has been put into these examinations and they have presented a real learning opportunity for students. Now is the time for us all to reflect on progress we have made and the journey that still lies ahead of us.

Around the building I continue to be impressed with the positive attitude that all students show towards opportunities that are placed in front of them. Be it external opportunities with data analytics companies, a chance to meet with the local MP, participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award or any of the other opportunities on offer to our students, these experiences allow our students to stand out from the crowd.

Next week there will be two further days of strike action, on Wednesday and Thursday. I am sorry to say that as of this point I am unable to communicate a clear plan for these days. As soon as we have something concrete in place I will send full details. It is my belief that there will be disruption on these days.

We are excited to share with you that we have planned an off-site day of activities on Wednesday 22nd March for students in all years. This consists of university visits, college experiences, a visit to Cyrus One and a historical treasure hunt around Windsor. Details of these events have been shared with each Year group separately.

Have a great weekend.
