Dear Families,

Please see below for important information about:

  • The return to school in September;
  • Free school meals in the holidays;
  • Holiday activities in Hounslow.

This week I am writing to you very much with the future of this brilliant School in mind.  Staff and students alike are feeling tired and ready for the summer break, but it’s in weeks like this that you realise how much incredible talent and personal growth are nurtured when we have the courage to take young people out of the classroom and out of their comfort zones.

If you look on our website you will see some fabulous pictures and videos of Year 10 at PGL.  Whilst we know that our annual trip to Wales remains a hallmark of the Logic calendar, the three days we had in Wiltshire gave the opportunity for everyone to try something new, spend some time outdoors and time away from their phones.  Some of the students who struggle more in the classroom often shine in weeks like these and that makes me incredibly proud and incredibly confident in our School ethos: Looking forwards, looking outwards, taking action.

I have personally had the pleasure of working closely with Year 12 this week, talking about their academic achievements, transferable skills and extracurricular activities.  I was so impressed with the number of young people who have done voluntary work, including with the Scouts, in nursing homes, as sports coaches and at Covid vaccination centres; many who play team sports out of school, play musical instruments, have part time jobs or help look after relatives and younger siblings.  What a truly outstanding group they are!

I started working in Feltham 16 years ago and never have I been prouder of being part of this amazing community.  These will be my last few weeks at Logic because I am moving with my family to Devon in August.  I have been part of the School since we opened in 2016 and they have been the most rewarding 5 years of my career without a doubt. Alex Pett will be taking over from me and I know he will take the School to even greater heights and he has lots of exciting plans for the future.

Thank you for all your support in making this School one that truly serves our community and ensures that the young people who come through our doors, leave with their heads held high and the world at their feet.

Have a lovely weekend!

Yours faithfully

Victoria Griffin

Acting Principal
