Logic School Year 11 Revision Bootcamp and Residential Trip

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to inform you of our planned residential Revision Bootcamp for Year 11 students in March this year. This will take place at the PGL centre in Liddington, Swindon from Wednesday 27th to Thursday 28th March. 

The aim of this trip is to set students up for Easter by teaching key revision skills alongside content delivery, away from the school environment. Alongside this students will also get to participate in a number of fun activities to get them physically active outside. It is this balance between work and play that we think will establish a good routine for Easter. 

The provisional plan is as follows (more precise details will be confirmed closer to the time):

Wednesday 27th March

  • Leave London at approximately 9am and travel by minibus to Liddington.
  • Lunch and Dinner provided
  • Afternoon / evening activities to include subject based revision and Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA).

 

Thursday 28th March

  • Breakfast and lunch provided. 
  • Programme of subject based revision plus OAA activities. 
  • Depart at approximately 3.30pm to arrive at Feltham at approx 5pm. 

The cost of the visit is £100. However, we have decided to subsidise this trip and as such, each student is asked to contribute just £20. This includes all travel, accommodation, activities, food and insurance. Students will sleep in shared dormitory style accommodation. 

We are aware that the trip falls within Ramadan and the company will be working with us to accommodate students’ requirements around food. 

We ask that you provide this payment of £20 ASAP via ‘Parentpay’ and return the attached slip AND MEDICAL FORM.  If there are any issues regarding payments, please contact myself or Mr Pett to discuss.  

Students who do not attend will undertake lessons as normal on these days at Logic.
