Thank you

First up, a straight up apology that I have been lax on video messages recently! I promise they will return (don’t worry, you won’t be forced to watch them!)

Advanced warning for the 21st and 23rd November that we have had to make a slight change to our day. On the 21st we will finish for all students at 3:10pm to allow staff to participate in training across Hounslow. On the 23rd November, to support our preparation for Open Evening we will finish at 4pm for all students. Thank you in advance for your support with this.

There was a fantastic buzz about the building yesterday during our parent teacher event. Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us. I know many meetings overran and I am grateful for your patience. I have seen renewed focus from many across the school today as students were talking feverishly to staff about what it is they need to do to improve their effort scores. This level of accountability is fantastic.

I spoke with staff on Tuesday this week about the ongoing situation in Gaza. I am sure, like you, we are all finding this a deeply distressing situation and are feeling our way through; making every effort to become more informed. We are building resources to support students to learn more about the deep history of the region with an end focus looking at actions we can take in our lives, and within society, when we feel strongly about issues and want our voices heard.

We will be observing Remembrance Day through our assembly focus next week. This is always an important part of our Personal Development curriculum, supporting students to understand the sacrifices and lives lost over generations that have contributed to the world we live in today.

And on that solemn note I bid you all a good weekend.
