Trip to the old Vic Theatre

Students have recently taken part in a workshop and theatre trip run by the Old Vic based around the play A Number. In the workshop students excelled, inhabiting the role of directors and actors with enthusiasm and natural showmanship. Conner, Aaron and Arjun’s commitment to the role and method acting was a real highlight – even to the point of flipping chairs while in character! Diana, Eshana and Tania’s performance was nuanced and subtle, really exploring the play – even if it did end with Diana accidentally knocking Eshana’s glasses off! The Old Vic facilitators who ran the session made sure to comment on how pleasant, enthusiastic and accomplished our Year 10s were!
Following the workshop students were then able to enjoy a night out at the theatre, watching A Number at the Old Vic. The pupils were impeccably behaved and really did the school proud, managing to engage with and enjoy what is a complex play. Overall, a lovely trip!
