Third annual Logic Debate

Today marked the third annual Year 10 Logic Debate, and this year the students were debating the motion: This House believes that teenagers today are in more danger than ever before.  We started by watching some clips which explored current issues for teenagers, such as knife crime, mental health, legal highs, social media and peer pressure.  Then we moved onto less familiar topics, such as child labour in Victorian times, child soldiers in parts of Africa and recruitment into the Nazi Youth.  The students were exceptional, researching their arguments in detail, writing convincing speeches and delivering them with confidence and charisma.  We are so proud of the students’ professionalism.
