Logic Studio School
Our Year 13 and 11 students are continuing their hard work to prepare for the final few examinations of the season. It has been an exhausting period for all involved, the dedication shown by our students has set the tone for our other students. I have been amazed by the numbers of Year 10 students that are taking advantage of the intervention sessions that are being offered after school. The level of engagement and dedication is like nothing we have experienced. A huge well done to all.
On Wednesday this week I spoke with Year 12 about their futures. In light of the recent report into the increasing numbers of students classed as NEET (not in education, employment or training) our focus on preparing students destinations becomes even more important. Currently 1 million young adults between at ages of 16 and 25 are economically active. It is incumbent on all of us to do we can to address this issue. For parents this looks like being that constant source of support and optimism that ‘you just need to keep trying’. We appreciate this is often relentless, but they will always need someone in their corner.
