I am going to do that most British of things and talk about the weather. As our geographers will attest to, as an island we have one of the most changeable climates in the world. It certainly seems like we have experiences the full range over the last two weeks. From sudden hail disrupting exam venues, to extreme rain forcing us to make contingency plans for our D of E expedition we have the promise of some incredible sun shine over the coming week! Let’s hope it does not prove to be too much of a distraction for our exam students.

There is a lot packed into this week’s update including some key advice around social media and our plans for the end of the year for Year 10 and Year 12. Please take the time to review this carefully.

I am also enclosing details of our 10 Year Anniversary as we would like to make this a community event and celebrate with you all.

It has been a fabulous half term, rounded off with another impactful Personal Development Week. As you will read below, our Year 10 put together a superb enterprise event this year and showed a lot of very original thinking. The creativity on display was really enriching. I have to shout out my favourite stall of the day, the ‘guess the drink’ stand. I am please to report that having correctly identified the combination of dandelion and burdock and tropical orange fizzy drinks I was fairly rewarded by being able to shoot the team with a water pistol!
