A huge thank you to those parents that were able to come along and support our Open Evening last night. I cannot tell you just how much I value your support with this. All of our feedback from your conversations with potential parents speak so highly of your experiences. Thank you for being so giving with your time.

There are now just three school weeks left in 2025, but we are squeezing everything we can out of these final moments of the year. Assessments for Year 13 and 11 will give a clear indication of progress to this point and feedback from this will support our students to make improvements ahead of the summer. I spent time with my own Year 13 class today making the point that ‘nothing changes if nothing changes’. If students are not happy with their current performance and want to see different grades, they have to change their approach at this point. The earlier this happens the more likely it is to become habitual ahead of exams.

Perhaps not a ‘fun’ topic, but an important topic nonetheless, this week The Budget was delivered setting out future revenue and spending plans. As ever, we see thee events as learning points for all of our students as it is important to develop an understanding of how our democracy works. To this end we have produced this short explainer of the Budget (more to follow we hope!).
