During Personal Development Week, our Year 11 students took part in a Post-16 Pathways workshop to help them start planning for life after their GCSEs.
At Logic Studio School, we believe in looking at the whole picture — not just academic results. As part of the session, students created a Mind Map to explore their personality types, interests, favourite subjects, and future career goals.
From there, they began to think about which Post-16 pathways might suit them best as individuals. We encouraged everyone to “follow their own path” and choose an option that feels right for them.
Students explored the range of qualifications available after GCSEs, including A levels, T Levels, BTECs, and Apprenticeships. They also discussed which type of learning environment might suit them best — whether that’s a large FE college, a smaller specialist sixth form like Logic Sixth Form, or an apprenticeship where they can earn while they learn.
We’re encouraging all students to attend Open Events at local colleges and sixth forms — including our own Logic Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 27th November.
After half-term, every student will have a 1:1 careers meeting to support their individual post-16 planning and help them make informed decisions about their next steps.
