End Of Year 11 Key Dates & Information

Dear Parent/Carer,

End of Year 11 Key Dates and Information

Firstly, let me begin by thanking you for all the support you have provided to your children and Logic Studio School in the final lap of Year 11 and throughout the entire two years. As a result, we are confident that GCSE results in August will be an accurate and fair reflection of the efforts and abilities of all our students.

Please read on for important dates and information about our end of year plans for Year 11:

Please note the following key dates:

  • Year 11 Leavers Assembly – Monday 19th June 12-1:30pm
  • Year 11 Prom – Monday 19th June
  • Step into 6th Form – Tuesday 4th July – An introduction to the life of a 6th former for those returning to Logic. Further details to follow.
  • GCSE Results Day & 6th Form Enrolment – Thursday 24th August

Exams

Exams are approaching quickly with the first exam on Wednesday 17th May. At Logic we do not have study leave and we continue to support the students through the exam period. We will be sending home a weekly timetable beginning the 15th of May that will outline the times your child needs to be in school.

It is important to note that all morning exams will require students to be on site by 8.45am promptly to avoid missing the exams which begin at 9am.

Hoodies

We have a shop open to purchase leavers hoodies for year 11 students on https://www.leavershoodies.com/logic-studio-school-2023-leavers. This link has been emailed out to students and parents. Students like to have a hoodie with names on as a memory of their time at Logic.

Prom Information

This year’s Prom is a River Cruise and will take place on Monday 19th June from 6.00pm – 10.00pm as per the request of students. It is expected that all students will arrange their own transport to and from the departure point; please ensure you have made arrangements for your child to get home safely.

The cost of the evening is £10 per person which will go towards the cost of the boat and decorations, as well as some small snacks. All arrangements for the event have been made in conjunction with students and we are therefore confident that the night will be a great success.

The river cruise will depart from and return to Turks Pier, Kingston. This is just behind the John Lewis Department store by Kingston Bridge. The cruise will depart at 6:00pm and will not wait for anyone. It is important that all students are there by 5.45pm.

Payment is due by Monday 13th June and can be made via ParentPay. All parents must complete the slip below as well as the attached medical declaration for their child to attend.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at school via email on r.llewellyn-omirin@logicstudioschool.org

Yours faithfully,

Rhiannon Llewellyn-Omirin

Head of KS4
