Feeling hot
26th June 2026

We have made it through the heat! I appreciate that this has been a challenging week for us all with temperatures stubbornly high. I also do not underestimate the challenges of maintaining high levels of attendance when schools appear to be making very different decisions. A huge thank you to all parents in reinforcing the importance of attendance throughout this week.

As we have mentioned, our building does benefit from air conditioning in a number of rooms, having fewer students on site (with Year 11 and 13 now finished) we have been able to keep our students safe in school. The odd ice lolly here and there has certainly helped!

Over the past two weeks students in Year 10 and 12 have had their turn in the exam rooms completing their end of year exams. Staf are now working hard to mark these exams ready for our parent review meetings in the coming weeks. Both year groups move from assessment completion to skills acquisition with Year 10 on Work Experience next week and Year 12 on Opportunities week thereafter.

We have meticulously planned every school day to the end of the year with important lessons and events on each day. Attendance at this time of year is vital to ensure that students continue to push forward. Thank you for your support in maintaining high levels of attendance.
