Logic Studio School

Halfway already
6th February 2026

It seems absolutely crazy, but we are heading into the final week before half term which represents the halfway point in our academic year. Increasingly our focus at this time switches to ensuring our students are prepared for external exams this summer, this begins with the mock period after half term.

Alongside this we are reviewing the schools development plan. It is pleasing to see the progress that is being made here.

New Reward System: We are very close to the launch of our unified rewards system and have enhanced this through links to our student effort and attendance trackers. Very soon we hope to launch our ‘Logic App’ for students to see this data live.

Mobile Phone Policy: OIt is just second nature to our students now, but we continue to lead the way in our approach to managing mobile phones at school. This is already supporting a more professional learning environment and promoting healthier student wellbeing.

The ‘Logic Lesson’: We are refining our classroom delivery to ensure high-quality checking for understanding in every lesson.

Student Council: This is proving to be a real asset to the school and is raising our profile within the Local Authority. Following our recent visit to the council offices we look forward to a return visit by Stephen Forbes, the Executive Director of Children’s and Adults’ services.

Careers: We have supercharged our already recognised excellent careers provision enhancing our offer to students in all year groups. Next week we look forward to welcoming back a number of our successful alumni apprentices across a number of different industries. They are here to talk to current students about their next steps, an encounter that will also be captured on film.

We look forward to doubling down on this progress during the second half of the year!
