Firstly I need to apologise for an error that I caught on the Monday after our last communication. It would appear that although the video version had been uploaded to YouTube, it had not been published and therefore was not accessible on the link in the email.

The last two weeks have really been punctuated by careers activities across the school. Our hugely successful careers fair was attended by over 25 different employers and providers and gave all students an opportunity to have conversations about their future.

This week has been an exciting one for Year 12 with their trip out to Thames Young Mariners on Monday. The weather added to the over all experience and all students had a great time. This was followed by mock interviews with our external providers on Wednesday, a key event for our students. Having worked with a number of these companies for a number of years we were delighted to hear the feedback they had for us this year was even more positive than ever. A credit to the hard work students had put in to preparing for this day. A number of students gave such good impressions they received on the spot offers for employment and work experience opportunities!

Please take the time to review the information in this email, especially around our plans for Personal Development Week at the end of this half term. This is always a busy one for us with changes to our normal timetable and times of the day for all year groups. We have been through this information with students this week, please make sure you take the time to review this also.
