SEND Employability Hubs provide young people with education, skills, and personal development, to support successful transition into future employment.
Pathways are based on individual needs and aspirations of young people, include the following elements
- Access to variety of courses and qualifications at education setting (based Post 16 provider individual offer)
- Personalised wraparound employability offer that provides young people with work-based experiences and learning to build confidence, and employability skills and behaviours to enter and successfully sustain in the workplace (e.g. work experience placements, job coaching)
- Preparation for adulthood curriculum that supports young people to develop skills that will empower them to achieve maximum independence, actively participating in their communities to live fulfilling lives
- Transition support to explore pathways and prepare for next steps into employment pathways (e.g. Apprenticeships, Supported Internships, Employment)
- Support from trained staff to meet individual needs
- Access to spaces to support needs
We are currently in discussion with Hounslow Local Authority as we fulfill our role as a delivery partner. Further information about the curriculum and provision arrangements will be posted once finalised.
Please note that places on this Employability Pathway are managed in collaboration with the Local Authority. Discussions should take place at Annual Reviews as to the suitability of this provision for your child.
