Back for the Autumn
Welcome back to another half term at Logic. I wanted to start with a massive thank you to all parents that were able to make it in last night for our meet the form tutor event. As always, there was a really positive atmosphere and lots of supportive conversations. We appreciate that not all parents are able to make it in and know that a number of phone conversations have also taken place. Thank you so much for facilitating this. We feel that contact between school and home is vital in ensuring your child’s success.
As part of this evening we were asking parents to fill out our parent survey. This helps us to get an idea of what is working and where we need to improve. If you were unable to complete this yesterday please use the link here.
This month we are supporting the ‘Movember’ campaign for men’s health. Money raised through this campaign supports men’s mental health charities as well as prostate and testicular cancer causes. We feel passionate about mental health and have always worked hard to ensure our students feel supported to talk about issues that are affecting them. It continues to be a travesty that the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 is suicide. If you are able, you can donate to this cause here.
Year 11 and 13 are building towards larger assessments this December, details of which were shared at yesterday’s evening. A reminder of these dates can be found below, with further details regarding exam days, times and subjects available on our website. It is important that students start to prepare for these assessments over the coming weeks.
Finally, preparations are in full swing for our Open Evening in two weeks on Thursday 28th November. We know the difference that word of mouth makes, so would ask that you consider sharing this with your networks to help increase our reach! Thank you.
