Year 12 End of Year Letter
As we reach the end of this extremely unusual academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to
express my admiration and appreciation to you all for how well you have worked with us at Logic in the
face of the immense changes and challenges to our lives that the battle against the Coronavirus Covid19 pandemic has caused.
As parents/carers, we are fully aware that this has been a really tough time for you as you cope with
your own worries while trying to keep your child engaged and focused on their school work at what is
unquestionably a crucial time in their education. I would like to thank you for all the support that you
have given to your child in order to ensure that they were able to continue learning as best as possible
in incredibly difficult circumstances.
For those awaiting GCSE results, results day is Thursday 20th August and you can pick up your results
from Logic. Please arrive from 10.30am to collect these.
We will of course continue to monitor proceedings and listen to government advice but as things stand,
our New Year 13 students will return to Logic on Monday 7th September 2020 for an induction
session. This will run from 2pm and students should meet on the rear playground.
Students will then return full time on Tuesday 8th September for the beginning of the 2020/21
academic year at 9.10am. If there are any changes to this, we will write to you again in August with an
update and we will also post an update on the school website.
Please rest assured that we will do absolutely everything we can at Logic to ensure that your child’s
chances of success in their Level 3 courses and beyond, are not hindered by what has happened these
last few months and what we may also have to encounter going forward. We are awaiting further
guidance on exams and coursework requirements for next year and will communicate these with you as
we are made aware.
Finally, I will sadly be stepping down from my position of Head of Year 12 in September, and moving on
to a new school outside of London. Thank you all so much for your support over the last year of working
with Y12; I wish each student every success in their future.
From September, the Sixth Form team will be led by Mr Young as Head of Sixth Form, Mr Coles as
Deputy Head of Sixth Form and responsibility for Year 13 and Miss Ferguson as Deputy Head of Sixth
Form and responsibility for Year 12. Mr Coles will be the point of contact for you should you wish to
raise any queries or concerns. You will be able to reach him at email@example.com
Have a great summer!
