Year 10 End of year Letter

Dear Parents/Carers,
As we reach the end of this extremely unusual academic year, I would like to take this opportunity
to express my admiration and appreciation to you all for how well you have worked with us at
Logic in the face of the immense changes and challenges to our lives that the battle against the
Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic has caused.
As parents/carers, we are fully aware that this has been a really tough time for you as you cope
with your own worries while trying to keep your child engaged and focused on their school work
at what is unquestionably a crucial time in their education. I would like to thank you for all the
support that you have given to your child in order to ensure that they were able to continue
learning as best as possible in incredibly difficult circumstances.
The way of working we have had to get used to over the last few months has been very new to us
all and not something that we had prepared for, so I think we can all be incredibly proud,
particularly our students themselves, of the efforts that have been made to keep disruption to a
minimum and ensure that we are as well prepared as it’s possible to be for the start of Year 11.
We will of course continue to monitor proceedings and listen to government advice but as things
stand, our New Year 11 students will return to Logic on Monday 7th September 2020 for an
induction session. This will run from 1pm with students expected onsite at 12.45pm on the rear
Students will then return full time on Tuesday 8th September for the beginning of the 2020/21
academic Year at 8.50am. If there are any changes to this, we will write to you again in August
with an update and we will also post an update on the school website.
Please rest assured that we will do absolutely everything we can at Logic to ensure that your
child’s chances of success in their GCSE exams and beyond, are not hindered by what has
happened these last few months and what we may also have to encounter going forward. We are
awaiting further guidance on exams and coursework requirements for next year and will
communicate these with you as we are made aware.
If you have any queries or concerns that you would like to address with me, please do not hesitate
to get in touch with me at
Have a great summer!
Yours faithfully,
Mr Onwubuya
Head of Year 10
