A new type of education is set to open in Feltham

A new type of school is coming to Feltham – Logic Studio School is set to open in Browells Lane in September 2016 offering a totally different kind of education to local students aged 14-19.

“This really is a revolutionary approach to education,” says Principal Designate Jay Lockwood.  “We are redressing the major flaw in the current education system; that students are leaving school without the skills and knowledge they need to be employable.”

Jay has high expectations not only for the school, but also for the students who will attend: “I’m ambitious for the future of the young people of Feltham – they deserve an education that will prepare them to succeed.  Our students will not only be highly employable when they leave, but also will have some great connections in place thanks to the six weeks of work experience they will have enjoyed during their time at Logic.”

He continues: “This really is a school for, and in, the local community.  We have a lot of connections with local businesses – including DHL, who are offering their expertise for our Logistics pathway and Tutor Park Enterprises who are supporting our Events and Business specialisms.  This is combined with expertise from Gaia, one of the UK’s leading technology companies, who will be supporting the Computing and Digital Design pathways, and our own team of specialist teachers who will offer a range of A-Level choices.”

Families interested in finding out more should come along to one of our ‘Experience’ events.  Jay encourages them to put in their application soon though “We are a small school, totally focused on each individual student, meaning that spaces are limited. So we are encouraging everyone who is interested to find out more and then apply, so as to not lose out on the opportunity of joining us in September.”
